What is Aquacool Trend MAC Metallic Paint?

It is a water-based, odorless and varnish-free renovation paint developed to give a “metallic” effect to surfaces. It is used with “Aquacool Catalyst” on glass, metal and tile surfaces.

  • Contains glitter pigment, gives a shimmery look.
  • Has high adhesion strength on different surfaces, resistant to impacts and scratches.
  • EN71-3 certified, harmless to humans and nature.

  • Paints are ready for use. For surfaces other than wood, a catalyst needs to be added to the paint.
  • 120ml can paint approximately 1-1.5m², 500ml can paint approximately 4-5m².
  • For full efficiency from metallic paints, they should only be applied with a brush.

Furniture / Door / Kitchen Cabinet

Use a degreaser or cleaning vinegar to clean the surface to be painted. Rinse off any cleaning residues and let the surface dry. Dirt, grease, and dust reduce the paint’s adhesion, so the surface must be clean and dry.
Shake the bottle and pour the paint into a tray. The paint is ready to use; no need to add water. If necessary, you can add 5-10% water. Dip your roller into the paint and apply the first coat. Do not apply the first coat too thickly. Roller or brush? On large surfaces, a roller will make your job easier. A high-quality roller will yield excellent results.
Allow sufficient drying time between coats. You can apply a new coat after 3 hours.
Apply the second coat with the same care. Most M.A.C colors will cover in 1-2 coats. On heavily used surfaces like tables or countertops, applying Aquacool Hybrid Varnish will enhance durability. On horizontal surfaces that are heavily used, such as tables or kitchen countertops, applying Aquacool Hybrid Varnish will enhance durability.
M.A.C Paint dries quickly. The surface smooths out within 24 hours. You can start using the painted surface carefully after 24 hours. Wait at least 1 week before cleaning or performing any similar actions on the painted surface. Thanks to its nanotechnological structure, it can be cleaned with just warm water and soap. For effective results, you can prefer a microfiber cloth. Like all paints, it reaches 100% performance in 21-30 days.

Glass / Tile / Ceramic

Use a degreaser or cleaning vinegar to clean the surface to be painted. Rinse off any cleaning residues and let the surface dry. Dirt, grease, and dust reduce the paint’s adhesion, so the surface must be clean and dry.
Shake the bottle and pour the paint into a container. Add 2.5% catalyst and mix well. (1 dose for 150ml, 3 doses for 500ml…) No need to add water. Dip your roller into the paint and apply the first coat. Do not apply the first coat too thickly. Prepare enough to consume the mixture within 2 hours. If it takes longer, you can add more catalyst.
Allow sufficient drying time between coats. You can apply a new coat after 3 hours.
Apply the second coat with the same care. Most M.A.C colors will cover in 1-2 coats. On heavily used surfaces like tables or countertops, applying Aquacool Hybrid Varnish will enhance durability. On horizontal surfaces that are heavily used, such as tables or kitchen countertops, applying Aquacool Hybrid Varnish will enhance durability.
M.A.C Paint dries fast. Powder dries in about 30 minutes. Surface gradually smoothens within 24 hours. Water resistance is achieved in 72 hours. After 72 hours its performance reaches 80%. After 21 days, the paint is completely ossified. Thanks to its nanotechnological structure, it can be cleaned only with warm water and soap. For effective results, you can use a microfiber cloth. CATALYZER: It is an additive that improves the water resistance of the paint on “inorganic” surfaces such as GLASS, CERAMIC, PORCELAIN, TILE, METAL, ALUMINIUM etc. and increases adhesion. It becomes a strong bridge between the paint and the surface. It must be added in sufficient amount especially to the paint that first contacts the surface.

If the time is longer, you can add catalyst again. - When applying outdoors, the surface should not be wet or hot. In such cases, the paint cannot adhere to the surface.

Wood / MDF / Worn Surface

If the surface is rough, sand it with 120-grit sandpaper and clean off the dust. Dirt, grease, and dust reduce the paint’s adhesion, so the surface must be clean and dry.
Shake the bottle and pour the paint into a tray. The paint is ready to use; no need to add water. If necessary, you can add 5-10% water. Dip your roller into the paint and apply the first coat. Do not apply the first coat too thickly. Roller or brush? On large surfaces, a roller will make your job easier. A high-quality roller will yield excellent results.
Wait for sufficient drying time between coats. If there is some fiber raising after the first coat, you can lightly sand it with 280-grit sandpaper before applying the second coat.
