Only water-based!

AQUACOOL “produces only water-based paint.” This fact alone makes the AQUACOOL brand one of the “factories with the lowest carbon emissions per ton.” The health of all our employees is also one of our most sensitive concerns.

Additionally, the low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) content in the products minimizes environmental impact.

So, how do humans harm the environment/world the most?

The furniture in our homes mostly consists of materials like plastic, metal, and MDF. To produce just 1 ton of plastic-PVC, an average of 13 tons of carbon is emitted. The values for other materials used in our furniture are also close to this. What we need is not to reduce this emission but to bring it close to zero.

The easiest way to do this is to renew our old furniture instead of discarding it.

Indoor air quality

Materials like MDF and particleboard used in the furniture in our homes are compressed with a glue called “formaldehyde” during production. Formaldehyde is a chemical that has been proven harmful to health and reported to cause cancer. A simple web search will provide countless scientific articles on this topic. In European countries, E1 and E0 (formaldehyde-limited) qualities are preferred. Unfortunately, the use of E0 and E1 quality MDF in our country is very low. It takes decades for the formaldehyde emissions from our furniture to stop.

So, what should we do?

The truth is, the old furniture you’re thinking of discarding is actually your healthiest option.
